The Roundtable Commends President Bush for Calling G20 Summit
World leaders Set to Discuss Global Economic Crisis
Washington, D.C. – October 22, 2008 – President George W. Bush today announced plans for leaders of the G20 to convene on November 15, 2008 in Washington, D.C. to discuss the world financial crisis. The Roundtable commends President Bush for his leadership in gathering world leaders together as the impact of the economic crisis is felt worldwide.
Leaders of the G20, including leaders from the World Bank and IMF, as well as the UN Secretary General, will examine the causes of the current crisis. In addition, they will discuss the success of current efforts and ideas for preventing it from happening again.

We support President Bush for coordinating a global effort to address the current financial crisis,” said Steve Bartlett, President and CEO of The Financial Services Roundtable. “The initiative taken by world leaders to restore economic activity is a crucial step towards restoring liquidity and stability and instilling confidence both here and abroad.”
